Google plans to unveil its entire Pixel 10 hardware line-up at a Made by Google event on Aug. 20, but several marquee products are now expected to reach consumers weeks later than the core smartphones. Industry publication WinFuture, citing people familiar with the company’s supply chain, reports that only the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL will ship shortly after the event, with direct sales beginning Aug. 28. The foldable Pixel 10 Pro Fold, the Pixel Watch 4 and the Pixel Buds 2a are said to be held back until Oct. 9 because of component-sourcing difficulties. The delay affects devices that carry the biggest hardware changes, including a redesigned hinge and Qi2 wireless charging on the Fold and a modified charging system on the Watch. Google has not commented on the reported holdup, which comes as the firm seeks to narrow the gap with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Apple’s forthcoming iPhone 17 ecosystem. Pricing for the Pixel 10 range is expected to mirror last year’s levels—$799 for the base model and $999 for the Pro—while code discovered in a recent Google app build indicates new handset buyers could receive a complimentary trial of the company’s $19.99-per-month AI Pro service, valued at up to $240.
Why I'll keep the Samsung Z Fold 7 over the Pixel 10 Pro Fold - especially if these rumors are true https://t.co/3NHx5CdIAu
