Google has officially announced its annual hardware launch event, scheduled for August 20, 2025, in New York City. The event will showcase the new Pixel 10 smartphone lineup, including the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the foldable Pixel 10 Pro Fold, alongside the Pixel Watch 4 smartwatch. The Pixel 10 series will feature familiar designs with some notable upgrades such as a third rear camera, including a telephoto lens on the base model, and the new Tensor G5 chip manufactured by TSMC. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is expected to have an IP68 rating, a larger battery, a brighter screen, and a more durable design, and it may be priced lower than Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7. The Pixel Watch 4 will come in two sizes with improved battery life and a new charging system, possibly utilizing a wireless charging stand instead of magnetic charging. The Pixel 10 models are expected to support the updated Qi2 25W wireless charging standard, which offers up to 70% faster charging speeds and is compatible with both iPhones and major Android devices. Google has preemptively revealed much of the Pixel 10 design and lineup through official teasers and accidental leaks on the Google Play Store, showing color options such as Moonstone and Jade. The Pixel 10 series is expected to maintain similar pricing to the previous generation. The launch event will emphasize AI integration, with the new devices powered by Google's Gemini AI technology. The Pixel 10 series will be available in multiple color variants and aims to compete strongly in the premium smartphone market.
