Google will stage its annual "Made by Google" hardware showcase in New York at 1 p.m. ET on 20 August, with comedian Jimmy Fallon acting as host. The livestreamed event is expected to center on the tenth-generation Pixel smartphones and expanded use of the company’s Gemini artificial-intelligence models. Four handsets are slated to appear—the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold—each powered by a new 3-nanometre Tensor G5 chip and shipping with Android 16. Leaks point to Qi2 magnetic wireless charging, up to 1 TB of storage, and eSIM-only connectivity in at least some markets. The foldable model is tipped to be the first IP68-rated device in its class. Pricing images obtained ahead of the launch suggest Google will hold the line on US pricing: Pixel 10 at $799 for 128 GB, Pixel 10 Pro at $999, Pixel 10 Pro XL at $1,199 for 256 GB, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold starting at $1,799, rising to $2,149 for a 1 TB model. New "Pixelsnap" Qi2 chargers are listed at $29–$69, and a 67-watt dual-port wall adapter at $59. The company is also expected to introduce the Pixel Watch 4 in 41 mm and 45 mm sizes, keeping last year’s $349 and $399 Wi-Fi price points and adding a Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 paired with a Google M55 co-processor. Leaks cite larger batteries, a side-mounted charging system and a third-generation sensor hub for enhanced health tracking. LTE versions could cost $399 and $499, respectively. Rounding out the line-up, the Pixel Buds 2a are rumoured to be priced at $129 and to feature spatial audio and active-noise cancellation, although they may forgo wireless charging. Supply-chain reports indicate the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Pixel Watch 4 and the earbuds could ship later in the autumn, with pre-orders expected to open immediately after Wednesday’s presentation.
