Senegal claimed a 1-0 victory over Nigeria, courtesy of a goal by Christian Gomis. Ticket sales for Kenya’s matches against Angola and Morocco have sold out, although there have been reports of ticket hoarding and logistical challenges at Kasarani Stadium. The Kenyan Sports Principal Secretary Elijah Mwangi confirmed a budget of 70 million shillings for rewarding winners and emphasized plans to provide wealth management advice to the Harambee Stars players to sustain their new millionaire status. Uganda's President Yoweri Museveni responded to Ruto's incentive by pledging 1.2 billion Ugandan shillings per win to the Uganda squad. The tournament continues with matches scheduled in Zanzibar and Kampala, maintaining high levels of fan engagement and regional enthusiasm.
