A nationwide poll by Paraná Pesquisas, released on 25 June, shows that 56.7 % of Brazilians disapprove of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s administration, while 39.8 % approve. The survey interviewed 2,020 voters in 162 municipalities and indicates little change from the firm’s previous reading of public opinion during Lula’s third term in office. Discontent is also pronounced inside Congress. A Genial/Quaest study published on 2 July with 203 federal deputies—about 40 % of the Chamber—found 46 % rate the government negatively and 27 % positively, the weakest assessment since Lula returned to power in 2023. The poll carries a margin of error of 4.5 percentage points. Beyond personal approval, 51 % of the deputies describe the relationship between the Planalto and the Legislature as negative, and 57 % judge the chances of the president advancing his agenda as low. The twin readings underscore mounting political headwinds for Lula as he seeks to maintain support in both the electorate and Parliament.
