British protest group Everyone Hates Elon installed an unauthorized poster showing U.S. President Donald Trump alongside the late financier Jeffrey Epstein at a bus stop near the U.S. Embassy in London’s Nine Elms district on 17 July. The action is the first step in a nationwide campaign timed to coincide with Trump’s forthcoming trips to the United Kingdom. The organizers say they have raised about £20,000 through online crowdfunding and intend to expand the image’s reach for every additional £15 donated. Trump is expected to visit the U.K. later this month to play golf at his Scottish resorts and to return in September for a formal state visit that includes an audience with the King. Activists say the poster aims to draw attention to the president’s past association with Epstein, who died in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges.
