Elon Musk said on 26 Aug 2025 that he is prepared to finance legal actions against British officials who, according to a government inquiry, failed to act on or actively concealed child-sex grooming gangs operating over several decades. In a post on the social-media platform X, the Tesla and SpaceX chief executive invited potential claimants to contact him "for consideration" and pledged to target what he called “corrupt officials who aided and abetted the rape of Britain.” The initiative follows years of public criticism over the handling of the scandal, which an official review found had been downplayed by some local councils and police forces. Musk did not disclose how much money he intends to commit or which law firms might be involved, but his intervention gives the long-running controversy a high-profile backer with vast personal resources. Separately, Musk signaled political support for the newly formed Advance UK party, dismissing Reform UK leader Nigel Farage as "weak sauce who will do nothing." The endorsement injects the billionaire into Britain’s domestic politics just months before an expected general election, adding pressure on established parties to address the grooming-gang issue more forcefully.

Last year when Elon attacked Farage months ago, I vehemently disagreed with him. Now, I largely concur with a caveat. Nigel will inevitably be the next Prime Minister but he doesn't have what it takes to lead the issues. Advance UK is needed to push him in the right direction. https://t.co/EYRqJa9dh1
