Olivia Rodrigo closed the final night of Glastonbury 2025 on 29 June with a 90-minute headline set on the Pyramid Stage that featured a surprise appearance by The Cure frontman Robert Smith. Introducing him as “perhaps the best songwriter to come out of England,” the 22-year-old singer joined Smith for renditions of The Cure’s classics “Friday I’m in Love” and “Just Like Heaven,” drawing a rapturous response from the estimated 100,000-plus crowd gathered at Worthy Farm. Rodrigo opened the performance with “Obsessed” and moved briskly through hits from her two albums, Sour and Guts, including “Vampire,” “Drivers License,” and “Good 4 U.” The set concluded amid fireworks after an encore that featured “Brutal,” “All-American Bitch,” and “Get Him Back!” She also dedicated the song “So American” to British actor Louis Partridge, noting her affection for U.K. culture. The show marked Rodrigo’s first time headlining the Pyramid Stage after a 2022 appearance on Glastonbury’s Other Stage, where she brought out Lily Allen. The Grammy winner is currently extending her Guts World Tour with additional 2025 dates in North and South America and Europe. Smith’s cameo continued the festival’s tradition of surprise collaborations and underscored Rodrigo’s growing stature in the live-music circuit.
