Comedian Matt Rife said he has acquired the former Connecticut home and occult museum of late paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, becoming the legal guardian for the next five years of the Warrens’ entire collection of allegedly haunted objects, including the Annabelle doll made famous by the “Conjuring” film series. He made the purchase with YouTuber Elton Castee, while ownership of the artifacts remains with the Warrens’ family, according to Tony Spera, their son-in-law and co-director of the New England Society for Psychic Research. Rife, 29, told followers the arrangement allows him and Castee to curate and safeguard the items under a lease while opening the property for overnight rentals and guided tours. He described the project as a way for horror fans to “book a night or a weekend” in the house, which will operate as an Airbnb once permits are secured. The move follows the July death of previous caretaker Dan Rivera and extends the Warrens’ legacy of more than 100 documented investigations. The Annabelle Raggedy Ann doll, first linked to an alleged 1970s possession case, remains under tight security; Spera reiterated the family has no intention of selling the relics outright.
