China's Ministry of State Security has disclosed the foiling of multiple foreign espionage plots targeting Chinese government personnel. Among the cases revealed is a 28-year-old public servant who took classified documents home and transmitted sensitive information abroad. Another official, surnamed Li, was lured into a "honey trap" by foreign spies during overseas training, resulting in blackmail with intimate photos and subsequent multiple leaks of classified documents. Li was sentenced to five years in prison. Chinese authorities have urged government workers to remain vigilant against overseas threats following the uncovering of these spying activities.
