Manuel Ranoque, the stepfather of the Mucutuy children who were rescued in the Colombian jungle in 2023 after being lost for 40 days following a plane crash, has been convicted of sexual abuse. A court found him responsible for committing sexual acts against his under-14-year-old stepdaughter, including violent carnal access, dating back to 2020. The abuse occurred in the indigenous reserve of Solano, Caquetá. The ruling was issued by a Colombian court, which held Ranoque accountable for two crimes, one involving a minor.
