Colombian authorities have discovered a mass grave containing the bodies of eight social and religious leaders in a rural area of Calamar, Guaviare. The victims, who were reportedly part of a Christian community originally from Arauca, were allegedly kidnapped, murdered, and buried by dissident factions of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), specifically under the command of alias Iván Mordisco. The discovery followed an investigation initiated after a denunciation and was aided by the seizure of a cellphone with crucial evidence. The Attorney General's Office of Colombia confirmed the identities of the victims and attributed responsibility to the FARC dissidents. Families of the victims have spoken out following the grim findings.
