A Boston police sergeant has been arrested and charged with the aggravated rape of a 14-year-old boy. According to court documents, the sergeant allegedly met the victim on the dating app Grindr and paid the child for sex. The sergeant has been held without bail initially but was later ordered held on a $250,000 bail. The charges include multiple counts related to the sexual assault of the minor. Separately, a San Jose police officer was arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a minor approximately 13 years ago, according to the San Jose Police Department.
