Houston police have arrested Charles Ernest Lopez, 24, on charges of capital murder in connection with the fatal shooting of two longtime friends, Natanael Fuentes Reyes, 68, and Guadalupe Flores, 74. The victims were ambushed and shot from behind while walking together in Wildheather Park, a city park in southwest Houston, on the morning of June 27. Police used bullet casings and surveillance video to identify and charge Lopez, who has confessed to the killings.
