The California Highway Patrol is investigating an early-morning shooting that wounded one person on northbound Interstate 680 in the unincorporated Contra Costa County community of Alamo. Gunfire was reported at about 12:25 a.m. Thursday near Stone Valley Road. The victim was transported to a hospital; authorities have not released the person’s identity or condition. No arrests or suspect information have been announced. Officers closed portions of the roadway during the initial investigation and urged anyone who witnessed the incident to contact CHP detectives.
