An adult man was shot at least five times near the Renton Transit Center in downtown Renton, Washington, shortly after 3 p.m. on Friday, according to the city’s police department. The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center, where he remained in critical condition Friday evening. Renton police said the gunfire erupted on the 200 block of Burnett Avenue South and shattered at least one bus window. Officers recovered a firearm at the scene and detained three male suspects—two 20-year-olds and an 18-year-old—for questioning. Their identities and any potential charges have not been released, and investigators have yet to determine a motive. The incident forced temporary delays on several King County Metro and Sound Transit bus routes serving the area. Police ask anyone with information or video of the shooting to contact detectives as the investigation continues.
