At least ten people were wounded in three separate shootings across the Greater Boston area during the Fourth of July holiday weekend, authorities said. The largest incident unfolded in Brockton early Saturday when a fight at a Fourth of July party turned violent, leaving six people hospitalised with gunshot wounds. Investigators have not announced any arrests or released information on possible suspects. Roughly 24 hours later, officers responding to Wharf Street in Milton at 3:51 a.m. Sunday found a 21-year-old Boston man with life-threatening injuries. Boston police located a 23-year-old man about a mile away on Adams Street at 4:06 a.m., and a third victim arrived at a hospital at 4:42 a.m. Detectives believe all three were shot in the same incident and are working with the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office to determine what led to the gunfire. In a separate case, Boston police said a person suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a daylight shooting on Norfolk Street in Mattapan around 4:15 p.m. Saturday. No arrests have been reported. Authorities have urged anyone with information, particularly about the Milton shootings, to contact Detective Valter Pires at 617-898-4837 or use the department’s anonymous tip line at 617-698-2677. All three investigations remain open.
