Boulder County authorities have issued a felony summons to Zasquin Benally-Bartell, a 31-year-old resident of Louisville, on two counts of fourth-degree arson stemming from a small wildfire that ignited on 14 June between Flagstaff Drive and Boulder Canyon Drive. The blaze, which burned roughly a quarter of an acre about a quarter-mile southwest of Eben G. Fine Park, was quickly contained by Boulder Fire-Rescue and other responding agencies. No injuries or structural damage were reported. Investigators from Boulder Fire-Rescue, Open Space and Mountain Parks, and the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office determined the fire had two points of origin and identified Benally-Bartell as a suspect through scene evidence and eyewitness accounts. She is due to appear at the Boulder County Jail on 11 July to face the charges.
