Police in Surprise, Arizona, have arrested Daniel Davis, 52, and Todd Schlarbaum, 43, in connection with a months-long series of burglaries that plagued the West Valley. Investigators say the pair are responsible for 41 break-ins at homes, garages and vehicles carried out between November 2024 and May 2025. Detectives believe the men entered properties through unlocked doors or by using stolen garage-door remotes, making off with firearms, a golf cart and other goods. The investigation drew on license-plate readers and surveillance footage to link the suspects to the crimes. On 2 July, Surprise and Glendale SWAT teams served search warrants at two properties covering roughly 25 acres and 16 structures, recovering numerous stolen items and detaining both men without incident. Davis and Schlarbaum were booked on more than 50 felony counts of burglary and weapons misconduct apiece. Police urged residents to lock vehicles and secure garage doors.
