Austin police have arrested two men in connection with separate homicides occurring within a short span in different parts of the city. On June 22, Vondell Louis Crawford, 28, was charged with murder for the shooting death of 35-year-old Keaton Delcore at the Apple Mart gas station located at 2101 Wickersham Lane in southeast Austin. Subsequently, on July 1, a homicide investigation was opened near 400 East Wonsley Drive in north Austin. This case led to the arrest of 61-year-old Robert Saldana, who was charged with first-degree murder for allegedly stabbing his roommate to death. Authorities confirmed that the two homicides, which occurred within about five hours of each other, are not connected. Additionally, police reported a separate incident in south Austin where one person died after being hit by a vehicle, though it is not linked to the homicide cases.
