Producer Scott Rudin said he will re-enter Broadway this autumn with an 18-week limited run of Samuel D. Hunter’s “Little Bear Ridge Road,” co-produced with IAC chairman Barry Diller. Previews start on Oct. 7 at the Booth Theatre, followed by an Oct. 30 opening. The 95-minute play, set in rural Idaho, reunites Laurie Metcalf and Micah Stock under director Joe Mantello, reprising roles they created at Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theatre last year. John Drea and Meighan Gerachis also transfer with the production. Rudin has largely been absent from theater since a 2021 Hollywood Reporter investigation detailed accusations of bullying and abusive behavior toward staff. In a March interview he said he had undergone therapy and would produce several shows, while Actors’ Equity stated it would enforce strengthened anti-harassment protections on any project he backs.
