European Union Foreign Policy Chief Kaja Kallas has emphasized that any agreement between the United States and Russia must include Ukraine and the European Union. She stated that all temporarily occupied territories belong to Ukraine and warned that no deal should serve as a platform for new Russian aggression. In response to the upcoming summit between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, Kallas has called for an extraordinary meeting of EU foreign ministers on August 11 to discuss the situation and ensure that the interests of Ukraine and the EU are considered. Kallas also highlighted the United States' ability to compel Russia to negotiate seriously, underscoring the importance of an inclusive and balanced negotiation process rather than a bilateral approach that sidelines Ukraine and the EU.
