LFP Media, the commercial arm of France’s top-flight football league, has formally introduced its new direct-to-consumer channel, Ligue 1+, ahead of the 2025-26 season that begins on 15 August. The service was unveiled at a 10 July press conference in Paris, where executives set out programming, pricing and subscriber ambitions. Xavier Domergue will be the platform’s lead commentator, while former Amazon Prime host Thibault Le Rol was confirmed as the main studio presenter. Negotiations are advanced with Marina Lorenzo and Smaïl Bouabdellah for additional on-air roles. The league is also courting retired internationals Samir Nasri and Franck Ribéry to provide high-profile analysis and touchline reporting. Ligue 1+ plans to stream eight of the league’s ten fixtures every weekend—about 20 hours of live action—supplemented by 20-minute pre- and post-match shows. Original programming announced on Thursday includes a six-part behind-the-scenes series on newly promoted Paris FC and a documentary following OGC Nice captain Dante through his final campaign. Production is being handled by Mediawan, and LFP Media set an initial goal of attracting at least one million subscribers during the platform’s inaugural season.
