Olympique de Marseille (OM) has reached an agreement with RC Lens for the transfer of Argentine defender Facundo Medina. The deal, valued at a potential total fee of €22 million, includes a loan with an option to buy. Medina, 25, signed a five-year contract and is expected to compete in the UEFA Champions League with Marseille. He arrived in Marseille on July 1, 2025, and has expressed strong ambition to win titles with the club. Medina previously spent five seasons at Lens. This transfer marks OM's third signing of the summer transfer window, following the free transfers of CJ Egan-Riley and Angel Gomes. Angel Gomes, 24, joined Marseille on a free transfer from Lille and signed a three-year deal. Both players have quickly adapted to their new environment and expressed enthusiasm about their prospects at the club.
