Hundreds of demonstrators rallied in central Paris on 29 June to protest France’s support for Ukraine and to demand that President Emmanuel Macron abandon any plan to deploy troops or send additional weapons to Kyiv. The march was organised by Les Patriotes, a nationalist movement led by former European Parliament member Florian Philippot. Protesters chanted for Macron’s resignation, urged France to quit both the European Union and NATO, and unfurled banners calling for an immediate end to the war in Ukraine. Video distributed by Russian and French outlets showed some participants tearing a NATO flag as they moved through the city centre.
