Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has announced the launch of the Amaravati Quantum Valley initiative, with a Quantum Computing Centre set to begin operations by January 1, 2026, in Amaravati. The initiative aims to transform Andhra Pradesh into a global innovation hub and the brain capital of the global quantum ambition. Minister Nara Lokesh highlighted the vision to make Amaravati South Asia's first Quantum Valley, projecting the creation of over 100,000 high-skilled jobs and more than 50 unicorn startups in the coming years. IBM India & South Asia Managing Director Sandip Patel announced a partnership to bring the IBM Quantum System Two to Andhra Pradesh as part of this effort. The Amaravati Quantum Valley is intended to build a complete ecosystem around quantum computing, fostering innovation and industry growth. Separately, Chief Minister Naidu engaged in educational activities in Puttaparthi, including participating in a parent-teacher meeting, taking a social science lesson for Class 10 students, and joining a mid-day meal program at a local school. Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited Sri Sathya Sai Super Speciality Hospital in Puttaparthi and met with Chief Minister Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh to discuss issues related to agriculture, farmer welfare, and rural development in the drought-prone district.
