Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy met actor-director Ajay Devgn in New Delhi on Monday, where the Bollywood star expressed interest in developing an International Film City in the southern state. Devgn outlined his vision for the studio complex during the meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence, according to officials present. On the same day, former India cricket captain Kapil Dev held separate talks with the Chief Minister to explore establishing a Young India Sports University in Telangana aimed at nurturing athletic talent. Details of investment size or timelines were not disclosed, but both parties agreed to continue discussions, the state government said. Earlier, Revanth Reddy met Union Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Mansukh Mandaviya to request that Telangana host the 2026 edition of the Khelo India Games. He sought about ₹100 crore in federal funds to expand sports infrastructure, including a synthetic track, multipurpose indoor stadium and archery range. The Chief Minister said the initiatives would position Telangana as a hub for film production and sports development.
