An IndiGo Airbus A320 scheduled to fly from Surat to Jaipur on Monday was delayed by nearly an hour after a swarm of bees settled on its rear cargo door while passengers were already on board. Ground staff first tried to disperse the insects with smoke, but called in the airport fire brigade when the bees persisted. Firefighters used high-pressure water jets to clear the swarm, allowing baggage loading and final safety checks to resume. The aircraft, operating as Flight 6E-7267 (also listed by airport officials as 6E-7485), eventually departed at 5:26 p.m., roughly 50 minutes behind its 4:40 p.m. scheduled take-off. Airport officials said bee swarms are more common during the monsoon season but rarely disrupt flight schedules. No passengers or ground personnel were injured, and IndiGo has yet to issue a detailed statement on the incident.
