SpiceJet removed two passengers from flight SG 9282 after they allegedly tried to force their way into the cockpit while the Boeing 737 was taxiing for a scheduled 12:30 p.m. departure from Delhi to Mumbai on 14 July, the carrier said in a statement. The captain returned the aircraft to the bay where the pair were handed over to the Central Industrial Security Force for further action. Their disruption, which occurred despite repeated warnings from the cabin crew and fellow travellers, delayed take-off by nearly seven hours; the flight eventually departed at 7:21 p.m., according to Flightradar24 data. SpiceJet said safety was never compromised but underlined its zero-tolerance policy toward unruly behaviour. Indian aviation regulations allow for offenders to be placed on a no-fly list and face criminal charges, though authorities have not yet disclosed whether additional penalties will be pursued.
