Jaishankar also held talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, focusing on recent regional developments and strategic cooperation. Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi met with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on the sidelines of the summit. Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira held discussions with Saudi Arabia's Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud and Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, emphasizing Middle East issues and strengthening bilateral partnerships in commerce, aerospace, and defense. Mexico's participation as an observer highlighted its interest in engaging with BRICS members on economic, environmental, and diplomatic fronts during the summit in Brazil.
