The administration of Mítikah Centro Comercial in Mexico City addressed an incident involving one of its elevators on August 13, 2025. Contrary to initial reports suggesting a collapse, the management denied that the elevator experienced a fall. The incident occurred while the cast of the film 'Mirreyes vs. Godínez' was present at the plaza. Mítikah confirmed that safety protocols were properly activated during the event. Following the incident, the Benito Juárez borough authorities decided to keep the Mítikah shopping center closed until a thorough review by Civil Protection and administrative verification of all establishments inside the plaza is completed.
