The Parque Bicentenario in Mexico City reopened to the public on July 1, 2025, following a closure of nearly three months after a tragic incident at the Axe Ceremonia festival that resulted in the deaths of two photojournalists. The reopening was announced by Claudia Curiel de Icaza, Mexico's Secretary of Culture. The park will operate under a mixed management scheme involving the federal government, the city government, and private entities, including a collaboration agreement with the Auditorio Nacional. The park's hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday, with free access during these days. Despite some areas remaining closed, the park continues to host public and private events. On the day of reopening, the park welcomed approximately 3,000 visitors. The government regained control of the park after revoking the previous concession held by a private party.
