Mexico's President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo inaugurated two major infrastructure projects in Acapulco, Guerrero, on August 23, 2025. Additionally, she launched the Marinabús, a new transportation system operated by the Secretaría de Marina. The Marinabús project revitalizes a space that had been inactive for 14 years and aims to benefit thousands of daily commuters, traveling at a speed of 17 kilometers per hour. President Sheinbaum described the Marinabús as a symbol of reconstruction and hope, highlighting its role in the city's recovery following Hurricane Otis and its contribution to strengthening the local economy.
