Amnesty International has accused Israel of deliberately using starvation as a weapon of war against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, characterizing the tactic as part of an ongoing genocide. The UK-based human rights group condemned a controversial aid distribution system in Gaza, backed by Israel and the United States, specifically the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), alleging it is being used to enforce starvation and exacerbate the humanitarian crisis. The report highlights that aid is being blocked, contributing to catastrophic conditions and civilian deaths. In response to the worsening situation, more than 100 aid and rights organizations have called for an immediate and permanent ceasefire, urging governments to lift all restrictions on humanitarian aid to prevent mass starvation in Gaza.
