Human Rights Watch (HRW) has accused Israel of committing war crimes by deliberately targeting Palestinians seeking food aid at distribution sites managed by the US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF). HRW described these attacks as breaches of international law and called for an immediate suspension of the GHF mechanism by both the US and Israel. According to reports, the aid distribution capacity is limited, with a maximum of 60 trucks delivering supplies, leaving many vulnerable Palestinians without assistance amid a humanitarian crisis. The United Nations reported that over 1,370 Palestinians have died while waiting in lines for humanitarian aid in Gaza. Recent Israeli airstrikes have also resulted in high casualties, with 106 Palestinians killed in a single day and dozens more in subsequent attacks. Medical sources confirmed that at least 12 Palestinians were killed near aid distribution points in the southern Gaza area of Netsarim, including four fatalities among those waiting for assistance on the morning of August 2. Human rights organizations and media outlets have highlighted the use of hunger and restricted aid as weapons in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
