Amnesty International has accused Israel of deliberately using starvation as a weapon of war against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, characterizing it as part of an ongoing genocide. The human rights organization condemned a controversial aid distribution system in Gaza, backed by Israel and the United States, including the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), for weaponizing food aid to inflict harm on civilians. Amnesty's report highlights that aid is being blocked and civilians are being killed, resulting in catastrophic conditions. Additionally, the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor has reported that Israel plans to forcibly detain approximately 600,000 Palestinians in a closed detention camp over the ruins of Rafah, imposing severe movement restrictions. This plan, described as a serious violation of international humanitarian law and a form of forced displacement, represents a dangerous escalation in the conflict. Amnesty International has called on states to refrain from supporting any unlawful transfer or deportation of Palestinians to avoid complicity in Israeli crimes.
