Amnesty International has accused Israel of deliberately using starvation as a weapon of war against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, describing it as part of an ongoing genocide. The UK-based human rights organization condemned a controversial aid distribution system in Gaza, backed by Israel and the United States, known as the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), which it says turns the aid system into a tool to sustain the humanitarian catastrophe. Amnesty's report highlights that the blockade and restrictions imposed by Israel have led to severe food shortages and worsening conditions for civilians in Gaza. The group warned that aid is being blocked, and civilians continue to be killed amid the conflict. Hamas has also condemned Israel for employing hunger and deprivation of essential supplies as tools of continuous extermination in Gaza, calling for urgent action from Arab, Islamic, and international institutions to break the blockade and allow humanitarian assistance. Both Amnesty International and Hamas have called on the international community to respond to what they describe as war crimes and grave violations of international law, emphasizing the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.
