Israel’s foreign minister on 18 July ordered the immediate transfer of a humanitarian package worth about 2 million shekels to the Druze community in the southern Syrian city of Suwayda, according to Israeli media reports. The shipment is expected to include food parcels, medical equipment and medicines. The move represents a rare instance of Israeli assistance being sent directly to civilians inside Syria.
