On July 2, 2025, multiple Israeli airstrikes and drone attacks targeted various locations across the Gaza Strip, resulting in numerous Palestinian casualties and injuries. Key sites hit included a tent sheltering displaced Palestinians in the Al-Sheikh Ridwan neighborhood of Gaza City; a ministry building housing displaced people at the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood; a food stand near Al-Awda Hospital in the Nuseirat refugee camp; and several residential areas including the homes of the Mahjar and Mousa families in Jabalia and Gaza City respectively. The strikes also affected Palestinians gathering near schools and aid distribution points in central Gaza and Khan Younis. The deadliest attack was on the ministry of endowments building in Al-Zaytoun, which reportedly caused at least 17 deaths, mostly women and children, with additional injuries. Other attacks resulted in fatalities ranging from two to ten Palestinians, with dozens more wounded. A large fire broke out in displaced persons' tents in Al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis, following Israeli strikes. Overall, the day saw at least 25 Palestinians killed and many more injured in Khan Younis alone, with total casualties across Gaza continuing to rise amid ongoing hostilities.
