Israeli military operations intensified in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank between August 14 and 16, 2025. Israeli aircraft heavily bombarded central Khan Younis in southern Gaza, resulting in at least one Palestinian killed and multiple wounded in a residential building south of Gaza City. Israeli artillery shelled the Al-Sabra and Al Zaytoun neighborhoods in Gaza City. In the West Bank, Israeli forces stormed the Jalazon refugee camp north of Ramallah, the city of Nablus, and the town of Silwad northeast of Ramallah, detaining Palestinians during these operations. Additionally, Israeli forces fired flares over displaced Palestinians’ tents in western Rafah city. On August 16, Israeli shelling targeted the area around Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza City, causing damage and resulting in at least seven Palestinian deaths and multiple injuries according to Palestinian media. The hospital vicinity was struck by an Israeli drone strike, intensifying the casualties. Palestinian sources also reported a Palestinian killed by Israeli army gunfire in the town of Al-Mughayyir northeast of Ramallah in the West Bank.
