Arizona Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte has been elected the National League’s starting second baseman for the 2025 Major League Baseball All-Star Game, which will be played on July 15 at Truist Park in Atlanta. The 31-year-old earned his spot by leading all NL players in the decisive Phase 2 of fan voting, repeating as a starter after receiving 2,534,002 ballots in Phase 1 and outpolling Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Tommy Edman in the final round. The selection marks Marte’s third All-Star honor (2019, 2024, 2025) and his second consecutive start. Despite missing most of April with a hamstring strain, he is batting .296 with a .400 on-base percentage, a .983 OPS, 17 home runs and 37 runs batted in entering Arizona’s July 2 game against the San Francisco Giants.
