Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott said Tuesday he is "as healthy as can be" and expects to face no restrictions when the team reports to training camp in Oxnard, California, later this month. The 31-year-old added he is awaiting a final medical clearance but anticipates a “full-go” designation from team doctors. Prescott underwent surgery last November to repair a near-complete avulsion of his right hamstring tendon, an injury sustained in Week 9 against Atlanta that sidelined him for the final nine games of the 2024 season. Dallas finished 7–10 and slipped to 21st in scoring after leading the league in two of the previous three years. With his recovery complete, Prescott is turning his attention to a revamped offense under first-year head coach Brian Schottenheimer. The Cowboys traded a 2026 third-round pick to Pittsburgh for wide receiver George Pickens, pairing the 24-year-old with three-time Pro Bowler CeeDee Lamb. “To be the guy that gets them the ball, it’s exciting as hell,” Prescott said, noting Pickens’ ability to create separation and make contested catches. Veterans and rookies are scheduled to report to camp on July 21, with the first practice the following day. Prescott’s full participation would mark his first uninterrupted preseason since 2023 and is expected to be pivotal as Dallas attempts to rebound from last year’s injury-marred campaign.

It's amazing how we're going on 10 years of "when there's nothing else for sports media to talk about in July - let's talk Dak." Hes the perfect July topic: Good enough to give you hope. Never good enough to actually follow through on it. Really is incredible https://t.co/dG0eBV1ErK
