On June 18, 2025, an explosion on the railway track near Jacobabad, Pakistan, caused six carriages of the Jaffar Express to derail. The blast occurred within the jurisdiction of the Saddar police station near the Bolan Pump area, creating a crater approximately three feet wide and damaging about six feet of the track. The Jaffar Express, traveling from Peshawar to Quetta, was temporarily halted following the incident. No casualties have been reported so far. Security forces cordoned off the area, and rescue operations are ongoing.
