Portugal is currently battling multiple severe wildfires amid intense summer heat, deploying thousands of firefighters and extensive ground and aerial resources. Initial reports indicated over 3,600 firefighters and 1,100 ground vehicles were involved, with later updates increasing the figures to approximately 3,753 firefighters, 1,200 ground units, and 37 aerial support vehicles. As of July 30, around 2,700 firefighters remain actively engaged in firefighting efforts across the country. Some progress has been made in gaining control over certain wildfires. Spain is also contending with a wave of wildfires, with thousands of firefighters deployed in both countries to manage the crisis.
