Explosions early on 5 July severed the main Vladivostok gas pipeline that supplies several Russian military facilities along the Sea of Japan, including the 155th Naval Infantry Brigade of the Pacific Fleet, according to an unnamed Ukrainian intelligence source cited by the Kyiv Independent and other outlets. The blasts ignited a fire that destroyed sections of the line and also wiped out a nearby water conduit serving local garrisons. Local authorities reportedly cut mobile-internet access in the Lazurnaya Bay area to contain information about the incident while emergency crews moved in to assess damage and begin repairs. There was no immediate comment from Moscow on the scale of the disruption or on possible casualties. If confirmed, the strike would add to a series of attacks that Kyiv says are aimed at degrading Russian military logistics deep inside the country. Ukrainian officials claimed separate overnight drone raids on 5 July targeted sites in at least six Russian regions, including an airfield in Voronezh Oblast.
