The Russian Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) has been imposing and subsequently lifting temporary restrictions on air traffic at multiple airports across Russia throughout July 2025. Initially, the Izhevsk Airport introduced flight restrictions, which were lifted by July 5, along with those at Ivanovo Airport. Temporary limitations affecting Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport were also removed by July 5, restoring normal operations. Similar restrictions at Pulkovo Airport in Saint Petersburg were lifted by July 5 but reinstated on July 11 for flight safety reasons, before being removed again shortly thereafter. Rosaviatsiya also lifted restrictions at Domodedovo, Zhukovsky, Tambov, Yaroslavl, and Kaluga airports during this period. By July 7, all Russian airports were reported to have resumed normal arrivals and departures, although the temporary constraints at Pulkovo briefly resumed on July 11 before being lifted again the same day.
