Russia reports a Ukrainian drone targeted an electrical substation in Sergiyev Posad, about 70 kilometers northeast of the Kremlin in the Moscow region. https://t.co/FPupDoryQ5
Ukraine carried out a drone strike on the Sergiyev Posad district of the Moscow region early Friday, damaging a power substation and knocking out electricity in several neighbourhoods about 70 kilometres northeast of the Kremlin. District chief Oksana Yerokhanova said at least four explosions were recorded and urged residents to stay away from windows. The Moscow region’s governor, Andrey Vorobyov, later reported that two people were injured, updating an earlier figure of one. Local authorities said five residential areas experienced blackouts after the attack, which Russia’s state media described as involving multiple unmanned aerial vehicles. Russia’s Defence Ministry added that its air-defence forces destroyed 48 Ukrainian drones over five regions during the night, without specifying how many were intercepted over the capital’s outskirts. Kyiv has not commented on the incident, which follows a series of Ukrainian strikes aimed at Russian energy and military infrastructure.
