On June 25, 2025, explosions near Jableh, a region in Syria, damaged two main water lines in the Jableh countryside, resulting in widespread water outages across large parts of the city of Latakia. The explosions occurred near a military site reportedly housing missiles. Additionally, explosions in Jableh and Banyas further disrupted water supply to several neighborhoods in Latakia. On July 4 and 5, 2025, a series of attacks targeted Syrian military personnel and civilians in the Hama and Aleppo regions. An ambush on the Ithriya-Khanaser road in the Hama countryside resulted in the deaths of three members of the Syrian 86th Division, including Mustafa Ibrahim, Ali Amer al-Ahmad, and Yassin Baaj. Initial reports indicated one missing member was later found alive by reinforcements. The attack is believed to have been carried out by ISIS.
