Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on 5 July test-drove Togg’s newly unveiled T10F electric sedan in Istanbul, underscoring the government’s support for the country’s first domestically developed car brand. Erdogan inspected the vehicle at a closed-course demonstration before posing for photographs with executives from shareholder groups including the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges and several conglomerate heads. The T10F, Togg’s second production model, targets a WLTP-certified range of up to 600 kilometres and can replenish its battery from 20% to 80% in about 28 minutes on a high-power charger. The rear-wheel-drive version delivers 218 horsepower and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.2 seconds. A 41-inch combined digital display, in-car Wi-Fi hotspot and vehicle-to-load power export capability are among the sedan’s technology features. Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır earlier told students at the company’s Gemlik technology campus that Togg aims to move from playing by industry rules to “writing the rules,” positioning the brand as a game-changer in the global shift to electric mobility. Togg plans to open orders for the T10F later this summer, expanding a line-up that already includes the T10X SUV.
