Türkiye’s first domestic electric-vehicle maker, Togg, retained its dominance of the national battery-powered car market in the first half of 2025, selling 17,101 units and securing about a 20% share, according to data from the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association. The T10X SUV outsold its closest rival by 4,781 vehicles, leaving Tesla in second place with 12,320 deliveries and China’s BYD in third with 10,401. Overall demand for fully electric cars in Türkiye accelerated sharply: registrations jumped 138.4% from a year earlier to 84,956, lifting EVs’ share of total vehicle sales to 17.4%. Combined passenger-car and light-commercial registrations rose 5.2% to 607,977. Togg plans to begin delivering its second model, the T10F sedan, in the coming weeks as competition intensifies in one of Europe’s fastest-growing electric-vehicle markets.
